OpenVPN, Windows Tutorial

 

Requirements

1. OpenVPN Installer (latest version), link: OpenVPN Download page

2. OpenVPN config files (.ovpn)

3. Broadband stick or Pocket Wifi (Opwnline required if your using different ISP)

4. Smartbro Sim (Visayas or Mindanao area only)

      or

   Sun Broadband (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) note: Broadband not Sun Cellular

 

Instructions

1. Install latest OpenVPN

2. Look for working openvpn configs (.ovpn); I suggest WenzVPN or BlueVPN

3. With simcard inserted, connect to your dashboard or pocket wifi. Ignore the "No Internet Access" notification on the taskbar.

4. Place the config files on the "config" folder of the openvpn. It is located on the installation folder of OpenVPN, default is C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config

5. Run OpenVPN as Administrator (right-click and select Run as Administrator) or change its compatibility so that it is always run as admin (right-click > Properties > Compatibility > check Run this program as administrator > Apply)

6. On the taskbar right-click its icon and select the the config you want to connect.

7. Wait until you see "Initialization Sequence Completed" on the logs...or until the logs disappear. It means you're connected.
